Acronis TrueImage Enterprise stops on verify.

Thread needs solution

I have seen a few posts on this topic but no answers. I have been given until the end of the week to sort this or we will be going with BESR2010 - so any help appreciated!
So anyway, the problem is any time I run a verify on the system it stops and sends the following email:

is waiting for user interaction. Description: Create Differential Backup Archive From: Disk 1, Disk 2 To file: "F:\SERVER.TIB" Password protected Compression: Normal Problem Info: Error reading the file. Problem Details: A possible reason may be poor media quality. Please press Retry to continue with Volume 1 or press Cancel to cancel the operation.

And the log says:

When I click on 'retry' it completes OK and wipes the error from the log!
I can run without a verify sucessfully, but this is not an option as we need to know that the backup is OK.

Server: 2003 Standard 32bit SP2 & up to date Microsoft updates. AD, DNS & DHCP. Pervasive SQL.
4Gb RAM
C: RAID 1 136Gb (80Gb free)
D: RAID 5 1.36Tb (1.28Tb free)
Backup drive USB 2Tb (2 being swapped weekly)

This is a system designed for a lot of data - however we need to get it stable before loading it.

Have looked a bit further to sort this - it appears to be only when there is a differential image in the chain. Wierd.

Hello Aaron,
