Add windows xp home machine to AMS

Thread needs solution

Hello,
I use ABR10 version 10.0.13545 .
I have 2 Windows xp machines where the client is installed. When i want to add the machine to the AMS ,i fill in the correct IP adress of the machine and then the AMS keeps asking me the credentials to login to the machine.
I use credentials for an administrator account and with those credentials i am able to login on the local XP home machine without any problems.
What to do to be able to implement a backup plan for the Windows XP home machine?

Thank you.

Hello Petrescu,

Thank you for your post. I will definitely assist you with this issue.

Most likely it is caused by the fact that Windows Home versions do not support centralized management capabilities of ABR 10. You can check this KB article for supported OSes.

In case you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

If you install the console on the machine with agent, you will be able add it to AMS from options->machine options->machine management, specifying AMS credentials. It doesn't make this way officially supported though.
