Advanced Server SBS edition and Exchange log files

Well I cannot get SBS 2008's backup to work. I have spent days on the net chasing this VSS error problem and I have had it with wasting my time troublehsooting it (whilst becoming quite disgusted at the unbelievable amount of people having the same problem with no resolutions). Moreover, many report that things were working just fine for a while and then VSS breaks. Enough. Time for Acronis to the rescue.

However, my understanding is that part of the appeal of using the Windows backup is that will it do some housecleaning of the Exchange logs once it completes. I'm wondering if I go to Acronis as the only full backup for this server, will I eventually run into major problems with the Exchange logs growing out of control? If so, is there any work around?

Any help greatly appreciated because I am completely out of hope as far as the built-in SBS backup is concerned.
