After Install of Acronis Backup&Recovery10 Advanced - Windows 7 RTM 7600 Crashes

Thread needs solution

After two harrowing hours of rebooting and Windows 7 attempting to fix the booting process after my install of my trial version of ABR 10 Advanced I am finally back into Windows.  I am using Windows 7 RTM version 6.1.7600.  I installed Acronis and things looked okay for about 20 minutes I performed a small back-up and I went away for about an hour and I came back and Window 7 was in the midst of a Start-up repair after what appeared to be a failed boot process.  As I was to discover the system had crashed with BSOD from a quick view of my Event Logs.  I was finally able to get back into Windows 7 after about three attempts at running the Start-up repair and finally at choosing F8 last know good configuration from the boot process.    I know it was some incompatibility with Acronis and my Widows 7 configuration.  But I do not know where to start to look for the problems. 

While I was finally able to get back in my Windows 7 screen I wasted no time in uninstalling everything related to my Acronis install. I was not taking any chances now that I was back in.  You'll see why below. I did some research in the Event Logs to see what had potentially happened.  

After checking the timeline of events I was able to pull the pertinent Event Logs and here is what happened just before the crash.

Event ID 41 - Critical

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Event ID 1001

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x0000000000000138, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff80002a7edcc). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 091909-29374-01

These are the  three events which occured just before the system went down and I was into my two hours of trying to get the system back up and running.  Well I really did nothing myself I give all that credit to Windows 7 finally being able to recover from a significant crash event.

So I am hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this whole process.  I would like to get this resolved because I have used Acronis for my BackUps on my Windows system for over 4 years.  But I do not know where to start to try an track down the issue. 

So why I did not hesitate to uninstall everything while I was back in Windows is would'nt you know it I had not created a restore point prior to installing ABR 10 Advanced for the first time.  You know that is just common sense 101 but oh well, So I am just glad to get Windows 7 back. 

Another thing was that in uninstalling all the Acronis components I was not able to get the Acronis Backup & Recovery Agent uninstalled.  It would attempt to do the uninstall but then it would roll-back the uninstall.  I would also like to know if Acronis has a clean-up tool for ABR 10 on the Windows 7 platform.

So today after getting things running smoothly in Windows I decided I would attempt to reinstall ABR 10.  However before I did that I created a solid image fom my other backup program which is StorageCrafts Shadow BackUp Desktop.  I figured now that I had a solid image of my system I could afford to play around. 

So being a glutton for punishment I installed ABR 10 Advanced again and this time the same thing happened although this time I performed a controlled reboot myself.  And still the same thing BSOD with the same Event 1001 which I have shown from above.  Is it possible to look at this dump file and see what could be bugging Windows 7 with ABR 10.  I do not have the skill set to understand what to look for but I was hopeing someone on this forum might.  And I wont pay for a Support Incident which I think is how it works at Acronis anymore.  I would like to use the Acronis software and if I can get it running solid on Windows 7 I will upgrade my True Image Echo 9.1.  But I do not have any incentive to pay for support as I currently have a solid backup solution in StorageCrafts ShadowBackup Desktop.  However I really do like the feature set of ABR 10 and I also have a lot of legacy Acronis backups sitting around so I would like to get it working if I can get it running.  Okay thanks for listening to my tail of woe. 

I can post the crash dump file if it might be important and anyone can make sense of it.  I also save a copy of my event logs for that day.

Fileserver.exe is related to Acronis PXE Server. Please uninstall it and see if the issue remains.

You can obtain the sysinfo file in the following way:

- Open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information;
- Choose the "Save" option in the "File" menu (or "Action" menu under Windows 2000), enter the "File name" and set the field "Save as type" to "System Information File (*.NFO)";
- Send us the saved file.
