Automate validation of backup set?

Thread needs solution

I have an incremental backup set. I'd like to have an automatic validation scheduled every day. However, when I go to schedule the task, I have to specify that it validate a backup file already in existence, not "the one you're going to create tomorrow".

So for instance, I have the incremental backup set server.tib, server2.tib, and server3.tib. Tomorrow morning, server4.tib will be generated, and I'll want to verify it automatically. However, when I create my task and it wants to know what file to check, I have to specify server.tib, or server2.tib, or server3.tib. Will Acronis know to "look ahead" for additional members of the backup set?

Do Acronis employees respond in this forum? I've looked in our manual and I haven't found any answer.

I have exacly the same problem.

Can someone from Acronis answer, please?

Thanks

I don't know if anybody will read this as the thread is a bit old, but you can have the incremental backup set to run a validation. Edit your task, go to Backup options/Archive validation and select "Validate backup archive when it is created".

You can see if this link helps. It was written for 2010 Home version but the steps still may be applicable.
