Backing up to tape centralized vault with 3rd party tool

We're using ABR10 with the storage node on Windows 2008 R2, so we have no option to use tape drive with Acronis.
We need to move all backup data to tape for long term archiving purpose.
Is there a supported way to move the vault (perhaps with the storage node database) to tape using a 3rd party backup tool ?
For instance, what happens if we copy to tape a snapshot of the entire vault and the storage db and we want to restore data from it after one year ?
