Backup and Recovery 10 Full and Incremental Backups are the same size

I'm using Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Workstation. When I do a full backup and then within a very short time do an incremental backup they are the same size. Could the problem be McAfee is scanning the files and therefore touching them so the incremental sees a change in the file and includes it in the incremental backup...?

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern and will be glad to help you.

There are several possible reasons for this issue: faulty access to the full backup, data change, bad access to the HDD, etc.. We have this issue reviewed and described in this KB article. Please kindy follow the instructions and see whether the issue persists.

Should it remain, please gather the following data:

  1. Acronis Info from the problem machine
    This data will show us the logs of the product and allow us to see whether it can access the full backup properly and how's the incremental created.
  2. Procmon
    This logs will show us whether the files are busy with another product that prevents us from proper access to it.

After that please kindly contact support directly with the information attached. Keep in mind that should there be any procrastination with the reply, you can always specify us the case number. We will do our best to speed up the process.
