Backup fails on server running Exchange
I am having serious issues trying to take an image of a Windows 2003 server running Exchange.
I have Backup and Recovery installed on 2008 servers which is working perfectly however on the 2003 server with exchange it fails almost everytime. In the past the images have succeeded but only intermittently.
Operation is waiting for user interaction.

Do i need to have Acronis Back and Recovery for exchange in order to take an image of a server running exchange? Could it be problem with how much memory the exchange store is using?
I use the /3GB and /USERVA=3030 switches in the boot.ini file as this is recommended for exchange however any articles i read relating to the problem with Acronis say to remove these swithces.
I have also applied the latest snapAPI drivers and changed the location of the temp directory to ensure space is not a problem.
Any help is appreciated as i really need to get Acronis working on this server
Thanks,
Aron

Hi Thank you for the reply. I have tried most of the suggestions in the article but they have not worked. I would like to also do a clean install of Acronis so as it runs under a different user account but now when i try to remove it i get an error.

Dear Aron!
Thanks for your reply!
Sure you can remove the software with the help of Acronis Backup and Recovery Clean-Up Utility. It should remove all the traces of the product safely in cases when usual uninstall doesn't help.
Please keep us posted regarding the issue progress, I would like to make sure that the issue is solved, and you're all set.
Thank you once again for cooperation.

Thanks Yana,
I completely removed Acronis and reinstalled it. I then tried a backup which failed with the following error
C:\DOCUME~1\acronis\LOCALS~1\Temp\acr466.tmp,

I then ran a new backup and chose to ignore bad sectors. This backup plan succeeded. However I have checked the disks for bad sectors but there are none and both disks are flagged as healthy. I tried 2 backups today with the Ignore Bad Sector option box both checked and unchecked and both backup plans failed with the following error

I have collected information using both the Acronis Info Utility and The Acronis Report program. Where should i attach this or should i submit in a case?
I have tried all recommedations apart for deleting /3GB /userva=3030 from boot.ini as these switches are recommended for Exchange.
Thanks,
Aron
