Backup & Recovery Advanced with Management doenst work since beginning

Thread needs solution

Hallo,

Our Problem is big.
We bought Backup & Recovery Advanced 10 with 5 Lizenzes to backup 5 Windows XP Maschines over the Network.
After installing the Programm on a Server 2003 Std. we got multiple Problems.
B&R Console wasnt able to connect to itself (The Support send some 0815 Workarrounds which didnt helped and the Support-Chat had no qlue) Then the support forced us to upgrade to Version 11 and reinstall the whole Programm. We did this but the Problem was still there.
So after a long resreach by ourself we found a trick. The Trick was to connect to another Management Server and type in "localhost"
Then we got no error message and could set up the Backup Jobs.
After installing the Agents on the XP Maschines we got a Problem that the Jobs didnt start.
After contacting the support we got a workarround from support which we carefully did but the problem wasnt solved with it.
However the Jobs didnt start. There were always on status "running" but without a Progress Count.
So after no Solution from acronis support we were forced to send a diagnostic File which lead to no solutions either. So after months of no success the Support-time ended and now we stuck with a Programm which never funtkioned in the first place and have to look for solution in a forum. (Good that we have Manual- Backups of the Maschines from Norton Ghost)

We also tried to install the software again on a separate Windows XP Maschine. Here we got quick the same Problem that the Management Server cant connect to itself without a error message and the next Problem ist, that he cant add the already existing Backup-Agent-Maschines.

Here we got quick the same Problem that the Management Server cant connect to itself without a error message

What do you mean? Console installed on the same machine as Management Server fails when you click 'Connect to Management Server' with address of the same machine?

Error message you posted indicates that you try to add a machine with installed agent version 10 to Management Server of version 11, (build 17318 or less). Is there a reason to use an agent of previous version?
