I have a complete Backup of my hard drive including
a boot disk.
Why would I need a Bart WIN PE boot disk? I do not understand. Please explain!

Thank you for your question and for sharing your concern with us!

Actually Bart PE and Win PE disks are required only in case some specific hardware or hardware configuration not properly recognized by means of usual Acronis Bootable Rescue Media CD, created with the help of our product.

Win PE and Bart PE are almost similar in functions, main differences are: 

  • Bart PE supports adding plug-ins, which is not supported in WIn PE
  • Win PE is easier to create

You can find more details here, page 79.

Should the hardware be recognized properly there is no need in Bart PE or Win PE.
