Bootable Media does not include Universal Restore
I have Backup and Recovery 10 Workstation with Universal Restore (10.0.11345) and the correct licences for both. When I try to create Bootable Media it tells me that Universal Restore is NOT installed. I have done a complete repair installation (completed successfully, including Universal Restore component) and checked in Backup and Recovery: Help-About; Control Panel-Programs. Universal Restore is correctly listed. So why doesn't the Bootable Media procedure recognise this?
I'm running Windows 7 64bit.

Anton,
Thanks for the prompt response. However, I don't see the window you showed in the attached image. When I select the Bootable Media Builder, the screens I see are:
1. Select the bootable media-type to create (I accept the default Linux-based, with the Windows-like representation option).
2. Specify Linux kernel parameters (I skip)
3. Select the bootable components. The only ones offered are: Acronis Backup and Recovery 10. When I select this, it explicitly tells me that Universal Restore is not installed (see attached screenshot).
There is no window of the type you described.

Mike Gatehouse,
Thank you for getting back to me and you are very welcome.
I am sorry for the inconvenience but at the moment, it is not yet clear why this issue is occurring. It could be that the Acronis Universal Restore components did not install/update properly.
As a temporary workaround, may I suggest to download the bootable media component together with Acronis Universal Restore based on ISOLINUX. You can do it from your Acronis web-account. Please check the following article for additional information.
In the meantime, if you are willing to troubleshoot, can I please suggest the following.
Run the Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 clean up utility. This will ensure that you have a clean installation.
Try to install the program again and describe your steps please. Please make sure you are installing from the .exe package.
If this issue will still re-occur on your machine, we will have to send this to our Quality Assurance team for further testing.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

Many thanks. Uninstalling using abr_clean.exe, then re-installing, did the trick and I was able to create the bootable media including Universal Restore. I also downloaded the ISOLINUX version you indicated.
I suspect this anomaly may have arisen when I upgraded my version of ABR 10 to v11345 in February 2010. Prior to that I had conflicts between Acronis Managed Machine service, iTunes and perhaps other USB devices.
Thanks for your help! Maybe it would be good to find a way of bringing this to other customers' attention -- it may not always be clear to them whether the bootable media they have created include Universal Restore. I only discovered by chance.
Mike

Hello Mike Gatehouse,
Thank you for replying and I am very happy that this issue has been resolved.
I really appreciate your feedback about bringing this to other customers' attention. We do in fact have an article in our Knowledge Base called
- Installing Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Universal Restore
At the bottom of the solution section there is a paragraph with a screenshot which mentions the Acronis bootable media creation.
Let me know if you have additional questions please.
Thank you.
