Can't install management server

Thread needs solution

Everytime I try to install the management server I get the error "cannot connect to sql server using the settings you have specified". I have checked the user/pass and it is good, the user has log on as service rights. This is on a domain workstation. I can't provide and msi install log as the directions to do so at this link, http://kb.acronis.com/content/1639 do not work. There is never an option to extract. I put in the password for the account that was already there, hit next, leave all default, which is (local)\ACRONIS for the instance and use Acronis mangement server service and hit next. It clocks for a min and then gives me the error.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue??

This gives a hint that you already install it from .msi file (default for 'full' installer is just 'ACRONIS') . It requires a running SQL server instance to exist, it will not install it for you. Either install SQL express, specify existing instance or use 'full' installer.

I am installing it from the management server .msi. The Full installer gives me a token error everytime I try to run it. I am re-d/l'ing the full install file now to see if that makes a difference, but it unpacked all the .msi's and all the others installed fine. I will also try installing sql express in the meantime to see if that helps. Thank you for the response.

Installed SQL express, still gives same error using amss account or sql server auth. Still waiting on d/l to finish to try full installer.

Changed the Acronis to SQLEXPRESS in the instance name when it came up, now all installed, Thank you much!
