Can't manage my local machine.

Thread needs solution

Hi, I have just installed Acronis Backup & Recovery 10

When I try to load the Manage Local Machine I get the following error:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cannot connect to 'localhost'.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Details
Code: 11,337,731(0xAD0003)
Message: Error: Failed to establish local connection to Acronis Managed Machine Service. Make sure that the service is installed and its status is Started.

Code: 196,610(0x30002)
Message:

Code: 65,520(0xFFF0)
Message: The system cannot find the file specified

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I have checked all the Acronis Services and they are all in "started" mode.

I have marked them and restarted them and again the same error.

I reinstalled Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 and again, the same problem.

I don't know what to do
plz help !

You will have to give some more detail, it says system cannot find the file specified. Unfortunately that could mean a lot of things.

Does the Service User have rights to open a certain log file?

Did you check the EventViewer to see if some more critical failure is occurring?

Hi,

The system is Windows Server 2008,

I'm running under Admin rights (the same user that I made the install with).

The Event Log show nothing that is connected with Acronis.

What should I look for ?

Hmmm, I just updated to B&R 10 Build 11345 (not advanced, just normal workstation) and had a few tiny issues.

One of them was precisely this! However, I just rebooted and it went away.

When you go to programs and features, are you sure all of the packages are version 11345?
