"Change SID after recovery" option is missing on Windows 7 recovery on Dell Optiplex 760

I created a new Windows 7 x64 Business Edition image on Dell Optiplex 760 just like I did for other PCs in the past. When I run Recovery from Acronis B & R b11345 boot disk, I am no longer given the option "Change SID after recovery".

Just to test, I installed 3 different version of Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate Retail, Professional Retail and Business VL) on Dell Optiplex 760 to see if it's OS related. And each time I created a backup with Backup & Recovery b11345 then tried to recover them but none gave me the option "Change SID after recovery".

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue!

This option actually should be available for Win7; so in case it's not present,  the most possible reason is failure of OS detection in the image. Since you have tested it with three different versions of Windows 7, this shouldn't be the OS problem, so could you please kindly specify us the following:

  1. Do you perform the recovery from the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media CD or from Windows? 
  2. Do you choose the entire drive to recover or specific partitions? Please note that for proper Windows 7 detection you need to choose to recover not only the C partition, but 100 Mb system partition: currently Microsoft has divided system partition C to 2 drives - system one (100MB) and C drive.

In case you are recovering specific partitions, please kindly try recovering the entire drive and let us know whether "Change SID" option appears.

Should the issue persist, we will need to take a look at the following information: 

  1. - Download AcronisInfo
    - Run the downloaded file.

    The gathered information will be put in AcronisInfo.zip in the same folder, where the AcronisInfo was saved.

    This information will allow us to take a closer look at the Acronis product state and logs.
