Component not Found Error

Thread needs solution

Code: 11,337,747 (0xAD0013)
Message: Error: Component not found.

I get this error on a Dell D-620 laptop running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit (RTM with latest MS updates) with a newly installed Acronis B&R Workstation (NOT Advanced). I have disabled the O2Micro OZ776 USB CCID SmartCard Reader in Device Manager. There is no windows\system32\drivers\filter.sys file.

I restarted the laptop and and still get the error when opening the Create backup plan dialog or Disk Management. Acronis is not able to list the disks in the system. Consequently no backup can be scheduled.

Acronis Backup and Restore Workstation 10 version 10.0.11133.

Is there a resolution for this issue?

Is there a solution that will allow B&R 10 WS to see the hard drives on my system?

Windows 7 Professional 32bit

same problem. Acronis Backup&Recovery 10 (Build 10.0.11345) Server
Windows 2008R2 64Bit

I'm getting the same error on Windows 7 64-bit when I installed Acronis B&R 10 (Non Advanced Version). Is there any solution of it?

Hello all!

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue, I entirely understand your concern and would like to provide you with assistance.

Unfortunately there is still some lack of investigation information, but I assume the issue was caused by the error in the SnapAPI drivers - they are responsible for HDD recognition and creation of snapshot.

In order to resolve the issue please kindly try the following:

  1. Please make sure you are using the latest build of the software. You can find it here in your account. I would like to notify that this version of SnapAPI suits only Acronis Backup and Recovery products' family, and won't work with Acronis True Image.
  2. Download the latest version of SnapAPI drivers available in this article, and install it.

    (!) After the installation of SnapAPI Build 512 you will be asked to reboot the machine. You can either reboot the machine, or ignore the message and restart the Acronis Managed Machine Service by doing the following:

    Hit Start-Run and type in services.msc;
    Right-click on the Acronis Managed Machine Service and select Restart.

Should the issue persist, please kindly provide us with the following information:

  1. - Download AcronisInfo
    - Run the downloaded file.

    The gathered information will be put in AcronisInfo.zip in the same folder, where the AcronisInfo was saved.

    This information will allow us to take a closer look at the Acronis product state and logs.

  2. Could you please provide us with the exact sequence of actions that lead to the problem you report, so that we can reproduce it?

Please kindly contact us with the information gathered, we will identify the reason of the problem and provide you with the solution for  your particular case.

Should you have any further questions or have difficulties with gathering the diagnostic information - just let us know, we will be glad to help you.

Thank you in advance.

I fixed my self for my Acronis Disk Director Workstation Advance 11: I also have the Error: Component not found when I start the program,

Start-> Run -> services.msc

Look for all acronis service,

Make sure that it is using a correct windows account (user and password are correctly entered) then restart the services.

Recommend: use the local system account to run.

Run it again -> Works for me.
