I installed several B&R 10 advanced server on ... servers.

I noticed the following problem while installing agent on windows 2003 domain controler:

1. agent installation fails sometimes during agent installation. Then the installer roll back. I noticed the roll back is not working very well ... All services are still present, if you reboot your server after this, youi will get error message "at least one service hasn't start correctly"

 

 

2. On DC servers, I always have Dcom error in event log.

 

Les paramètres d'autorisation spécifiques à l'application n'accordent pas d'autorisation Locale Activation pour l'application serveur COM avec le CLSID

{BA126AD1-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E}

au SID DOMAIN\Acronis Agent User 3 de l'utilisateur (S-1-5-21-4245722215-3420607997-3667330291-3109). Cette autorisation de sécurité peut être modifiée à l'aide de l'outil d'administration Services de composants.

 

(Sorry, it's in french, says something like dcom cannot be launched because of a local autorization not granteed)

 

Maybe this problem happens because on a DC, you don't have local user account....

 

I successfully resolved this problem by using the mmc console and modifying the autorization manually.

 

Is it a known bug ?

OK,

 

Problem solved by installing the latest release.

This build was not available on the french web site and was provided by acronis support.
