Doubt. Acronis with Dynamic Disk

Thread needs solution

Hello, I would like help from senhores.Gostaria to know if you have a product that does Acronis image systems that work with dynamic disks. In this case, use Windows 2000 Server with dynamic disk and I would image, only that I have Acronis True Image 9, 10 and 2010, but neither does the image with dynamic disk. I would like help from you to know that Acronis product use. Grateful!

 Hello Claudio!

Welcome to our Forum, it's nice to have you with us! I understand your concern and will be glad to shed the light to the situation.

Dynamic disks are supported by Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack edition, but since you have a server OS, Acronis True Image Home won't suit you (it supports workstation OS only).

I would suggest you to test our server solution Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for Windows. It supports both server OS and dynamic disks. You can find all the information about it's functionality in the Installation, Quick Start and User's Guides.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Hello, thanks for the reply. I wonder if Acronis Backup and Recovery for Windows Server is the image and save to the extent ".tib," because I use this ".tib" to convert to virtual machine using VMware Converter. Grateful!

 Hi Claudio!

You're more than welcome, it's my pleasure to answer you!

All Acronis products save images in *.tib format. Which is more, Acronis Backup and Recovery Server for Windows has a functionality of converting the archive directly to the virtual machine (for more information see chapter 6.3.10 Como converter um backup do disco para uma máquina virtual p. 155 in the User's Guide).

Should you have any further questions - let me know, I will be glad to address them!

Thank you.
