a question for do or die:

How can i restore a file archiv without a heading directory with the drive letter ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

i backup file by file some directory of a drive (example E:)
E:
|
directory1
|
directory2----subdir 1

As i try to restor i get an drive(e) bevor my restored directorys.

E:
|

Hi Karl

If you want to restore a few files I would suggest simply double clicking on the TIB archive which will allow you to 'browse' through the file and copy/past the required folders/files you need to restore.

Normally yes, but not in this special case.
My problem was to backup a volume and restore in an other blocksize!
Image backup doesnt work.
I boot from CD an restore the file backup.
But getting a Drive(E) directory as a new basdirectory.

As i did it using PE Version, i clould move the directorys - works fine.

PS. Copy from a tib need a multiple part of time as restore.
