Failed to create the backup plan
My configuration:
- Sony NW15G
- Windows Vista SP2
- ABR 10 Workstation build 11105
Just installed ABR 10 and fixed the BSOD problem. I got the captioned problem (please see screenshot) when trying to backup my notebook.
Unlike True Image which is an innovative and excellent product, ABR 10 is really buggy and it really disappointed me. As far as I know, the BSOD was reported during the beta testing early this year and it still hasn't be fixed in build 11105. It seems to me that ABR 10 rushed to the market without completing the beta testing. It even doesn't work well with Vista's UAC. Acronis support could only suggest us to turn off the UAC, which is really ridiculous.
As an end-user, I think ABR 10 is simply unusable. I wish Acronis could provide me the solutions as soon as possible.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]
The BSOD issue has been resolved in build #11133.
We have released a new build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 (build #11133). Please download and install the latest build. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here.
See if the issue with the backup plan remains.
Thank you.

I just installed Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 on one of my servers. And I am having the same problem with saving a backup plan. The only difference is I am receiving the message "Can't find the object's meta info." I tried repairing the installation. But, that did not resolve the issue. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I have just downloaded the trial version of Backup and Restore Workstation 10. Build is 11133.
I'm running on a brand new HP pavillion p62341 and trying to backup to a 500GB USB drive.
Any attempt to backup gives a Failed to Create Backup Plan Error. ProtectedStorage.GetBlobItem failed.
I have a dozen clients waiting for this evaluation. So far it doesn't look promising. This is disappointing, because I have been such a supporter of Acronis products.
Is any solution on the way

I am also having this same issue on windows 7 x64 it says failed to create backup plan but if I look at the dashboard it shows 1 backup plan but if I click on it the plan window opens and there is nothing in that plan this is very disconcerning since I just spent bux for the software tonight and help would be greatly appreciated.
I was using the trial version on this machine it was working but started giving me these errors when trying to create a new backup.
I am using the trial version on an identical machine win 7 x64 and it appears to be working so how about some registry cleaning instructions to remove all registery notes for recovery 10 so we can start with a fresh install I have tried this but it keeps the info from the previous install stored in the register somewhere

I finally have some joy I finally got it fixed and running proper.
I uninstalled all acronis products from my computer I then serched the registry for all keys that had the word acronis in them and deleted them all (92 keys i think) I then reinstalled all my acronis products and now backup and recovery lets me create a new backup task.

Hello,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]
I am unable to provide you with an universal solution solution for the current issue. Every case needs a separate attention. I will let you know some steps that you can perform:
1) Please restart Acronis services:
* Go to Start -> Run -> services.msc
2) Please re-join Acronis Storage Node to Acronis Management Server.
3) After that create a managed vault: specify the path to the vault, select the storage node that will manage the vault and select the management operations such as deduplication or encryption.
See if the issue remains. If the issue persists, please obtain the below information and contact Live chat service available on this page, under Contact us click on the Start here button and follow the step-by-step guide.
- Download the file;
- Run the downloaded file.
The gathered information will be put in adv_report.zip in the same folder, where the AcronisInfo was saved. Running AcronisInfo may take up to 5 minutes.
Our Live chat operators will find the exact reason of the issue and provide you with a possible solution.
Thank you.
