First full dedup backup in a vault complete -with mystery load - 13544

Thread needs solution

Testing/benchmarking backups with DB on SSD and vault on HDD, NAS file share and NAS iSCSI

Backup type: disks/volumes

[on iSCSI vault]
Full backup completed, can't see any active tasks, but seems like indexing is running. Nothing visible from the agent or from the AMS [tasks or dashboard]. Stopped and restarted AMS, no change.

sqlservr.exe is pulling about 25% load on 4 3GHz cores, lots of network traffic, but network saturation is low. On the iSCSI vault, file disk_data.ds.0 is steadily growing. StorageSever.exe is creating 10% CPU load.

This backup was made into a new and empty dedup vault.

Viewing the vault in AMS, the archive is showing as 63GB. After indexing, this will drop into MB.

I think that it is indexing, but I will not get log reports for execution time etc.

There may be bug where B&R launches indexing but does not manage it or log it.

off-topic:
Contrary to claims by Acronis, some tasks can make the desktop very unresponsive. This happens with DB in SSD and dedup vault on local HDD during indexing. Indexing floods the interrupt queue and the desktop gets very to extremely slow, some things can get an unresponsive pop-up. In this case, StorageServer.exe seems to be the cause. Tried to lower it's priority, but that was disallowed. Increased priority of explorer.exe above normal and that was a bit better, but still slow.
