System: HP ProLiant BL685c G7
1. Booted from the latest build (13544) of the ABR10 bootable media (Linux-style)
2. Clicked on "Configure network..." button
3. No network adapters are listed in the left-hand pane of the "Network Settings" window
** I would expect a list of my network adapters to be available for configuration

Acronis TIHome 2011, built 6868 - Linux bootable media does NOT detect the 2 SATA6g drives attached to the motherboard SATA6 controller (ASUS Sabertooth X58 mobo, with Marvel SATA6g controller and 2 SATA6g ports)
If I create a WinPE 3 version of the recovery media with the PlusPack, it DOES see the drives
Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I just did a support call with one of our customers that were using a “Sony Vio - VGN-CR25G” Notebook and with the ABR11 boot CD the display was corrupted (they could read some of the text like IP address and the work localhost, but all pictures/graphics they could not see/read from at all)
We used the same boot CD in another notebook and it worked perfectly so there must be an issue with perhaps the display drivers with this notebook/graphics card.

NIC not recognized Dell Otiplex 790 with Bootable Media
Trying to boot with Bootable Media on a Dell Optiplex 790, and the bootable media is not recognizing the NIC. Using Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Advanced Workstation. Is there a patch for this?

ABR10 does not recognise Realtek NIC card.
This is when I want to make the backup image. I’m having problem with my NIC card the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller driver version: 7.38.113.2011. I’m using latest bootable media of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation Universal Restore build v.13544. When I boot up from the disk on Dell Optiplex 390 Small Form Factor with the Realtek NIC card build-in, the NIC card is not able to get any network setting using auto-negotiation option nor I can change it manually because options are greyed out. This clearly tells me that the boot CD cannot see the Realtek network card.
I tried Acronis TrueImage Home 11 bootable CD which is older version than of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation, just to see if it’s working and … no problem. Older and home edition beats pro version, I was able to see the Realtek network card settings using auto-negotiating.
Dear Acronis, this proves that latest version of ABR10 build v.13544 has not been build properly. Can you please advise what to do next as I wish to use it. I paid much more for it and I still believe that it is better software than Acronis TrueImage Home 11.
Also I do not have time to try a workaround with WinPE and BartPE bootable medias.
Regards,
Andy

the Acronis Knowledge base is not helping at all because no able to search the error code under ABR 11 -

-no other 3rd party software manage the tape
-window device manager can detect the drive
-use vendor software to test the drive no issues
in the Acronis/ASRM folder - have log files
- win2k8 r2 no longer have RSM service - then Acronis use own "Acronis Removeable Storage Management Service"

Acronis Advanced B&R bootable media fails to recognise Dell S100/S300 Raid array on Dell Server model T110
Created a Win P/E boot disk and added drivers from the Drivers\Storage\ folder of the Dell server No-GO
Downloaded-> unpacked driver files from Dell downloads & added to bootable CD = No-GO
Same with linux style boot disk however I did not find linux drivers for this S100/S300 raid on Dell Support.
8/18 Found an answer: Use x86 (32bit) Raid drivers when creating the Win PE disk and it works. (no linux driver available)
Acronis Tech never suggested this. I realized the MS WAIK package was 32bit and inserted the correct drivers with good results.

Huge problems with Western Digital (Caviar blue) Hard drives. Another in Lenovo M81 (WD3200AAKX) three macine tested and second Dell Optiplex 390 (WD2500AAKX). I use bootable media (created with B&R 10, several build tested. Creted with builder or downloaded ISO images) In Lenovo, B&R10 find hard drive, but backup didn't do anything. In Dell, B&R10 didn't find hard drive at all, if you try to boot with USB drive. Booting with bootable CD, hard drive found, but B&R10 do some think that in Lenovo case. Nothing
EDIT:
This is not harddrive issue. Changed hard drives older computer (Dell GX620) and hard drives found and backup runs correctly.
Same processor in both computer, Lenovo and Dell (I3)
Chipset in Lenovo is Intel® Q65 SIPP and Dell, Intel® H61 Express Chipset

Hi
I've just upgrade my ABR10 to ABR11 workstation on Windows 7 32b...and every windows task is working flawlessly without any modification...
All my backups keep on working...
*
BUT :
when I'm booting with the ABR11 boot CD, ABR11 doesn't recognize my RAID0 drive (intel ICHR on ASUS Sabertooth X58).
So I can't use it to restore my computer in case of a crash....
The product is useless for me then....
And, the native resolution of the bootalbe version of ABR11 makes me unable to select the OK button on most of the windows, and I can't resize them.
Can you help me ?

Backup & Recovery 10 build 13762 and build 13545 don't recognize Realtek NIC cards in Dell Optiplex 390. I have tested builds 12708, 11639, and 11345 and all of them recognize the NIC but don't recognize the hard drives in the Optiplex 390. Builds 13762 and 13545 recognize the hard drives though.

Hi All, not sure how Stephen Smith was testing his Dell Optiplex 390, but my is still not working. I've used latest builds of ABR10 v. 13762 and ABR11 v. 17318 to create ISO image and then burn it as boot CD for creating images over a NAS box.
So, my Dell Optiplex 390 Small Form Factor with Realtek NIC card build in is still NOT able to work with the ABR10 or ABR11 builds after booting from CD disk, basically the NIC does not recognize them at all and funny enough I've just received email from Acronis that this has been resolved using ABR11 build 17318 I mentioned early.
Any ideas how to make it work without using Bart PE builder?
I just wish to use Acronis Bootable Media Builder.

Thats what I was saying, the two newest builds of ABR10 don't recognize the Realtek NIC, but all the versions I tested before the latest two builds COULD recognize the Realtek NIC they just couldn't recognize the hard drive in the Optiplex 390.

I am not having any luck with Acronis AB&R 2012 Plus in detecting my new OCZ Revo3 X2 240GB SSD.
It is located in PCIe slot#2 16x. I have tried the most current Boot ISO...no detectetion. How does one get the current OCZ driver incorporated into the ABR ISO?
Does anybody have any ideas.

B&R 11 Advanced BUILD 17318 doesn't detect the logical disk running on an AMD SP5100 chipset. The RAID is controlled by a rebranded Adaptec. It detects both physical disks. I had to build a WinPE3 boot image and inject the Adaptec/AMD drivers into it for it to properly see the logical RAID disk.

I just installed a system with Adaptec 6405 RAID and found the following :
ATIH 2012 rescue media (standard linux) seems to have somehow limited support for Adaptec 6405 :
1.
Recovery from TIB to completely new/empty Adaptec RAID drive did not work, because the RAID drive is not found.
2.
Recovery from TIB to RAID drive on which Windows had been installed before (MPR drive) worked, because now the drive with MBR, System-reserved 100MB partition and other partitions was found and could be restored.
I detected this rather accidentally after trying to recover a image to the same machine, but with a new HDD.
Being despared of ATIH 2012 having backed up from the RAID without any problem but not finding the (correct defined) new RAID on the new replacement HDD I did a new Windows Install on the new HDD.
After that new Windows Install ATIH 2012 was suddenly and astonishingly able to recover the old TIB image !
So it seems like there is no Linux driver support problem with Adaptec 6405 but a problem in the Acronis logic for finding destination drives for recovery !?
It would be extremely useful if empty (=without MBR and partition) RAID drives would also be found as possible recovery destinations !
This is the sense of software like ATIH that after replacing defect HDDs you can recover your data on NEW/EMPTY replacement HDDs !!

Having an issue where ABR11 is not recognizing AData Superior SH93 USB external HDDs when you plug them in. You can see by the drive light that it initializes and flashes for a bit then goes back steady, but you are unable to access the drive from a bootable copy of Acronis. Any help is appreciated.

You may need to inject the additional drivers for this NIC into the .wim file used to create the WinPE media before creating it in B&R 11.

Hi Manuel
If you are using the latest ABR11.5 boot CD and it's not detected a NIC or HDD controller the best method of fixing this is to use the WinPE boot CD creation wizard to get a Windows based boot CD created and include any required hardware drivers with the boot CD..
One common mistake is NOT to include drivers for your currently installed OS on the boot CD but to match which ever WinPE environment the boot CD is set to... for example:
PE2.0 = Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 Kernel (32bit)
PE3.0 = Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 Kernel (32bit)
So ensure when adding drivers to these WinPE created boot CD's that you inject the relevant device drivers (eg, PE3.0 you should inject NIC drivers for a Windows 7/2008R2 32bit OS)..
Good luck and hope it works out for you..
P.S. More details can be found at the following location: http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11.5/#714.html
