If I am using a Dedicated Server at a data center, and wanted to recover from a corrupt operating system, how would I do it?

I read somewhere about inserting bootable CD or pushing F11, but I can't see how either of these would work in a dedicated server environment. Do I have to then have somebody physically go to the machine, find a CD and boot up with a CD, then pick the day to restore?
