Imaging in different ways

Thread needs solution

Using ABR Workstation 11 + UR. 28 computers scattered physically. Network is framented between CAT5 and fiber optic (Industrial Plant envronment). Some of the PC image real slow, so I took the images locally with the bootable media (USB). I copied all my images to a server for archiving. A PC hiccupped so I went to reimage it using the Bootable media, image loaded correctly, rebooted and I get disk read errors - CTRL+ALT+DEL to rety?. The PCs are RAID 5 with 3 SATA disk on a PCIe RAID card, Adaptec 3405. I tried a second image and it did the same thing. So now, I either have bad images, or there is a step I am missing somewhere. I tried loading the RAID card driver into the UR during the recovery, but it failed. What am I doing wrong?

If you backed up all system partitions of the PC, you can check if restore to a virtual machine (VMWare workstation or MS Virtual PC) works and the VM is bootable. As you restore to the same PC, UR drivers are not necessary. You may try creating a WinPE-based bootable media, injecting driver for RAID card (so that bootable media can recognize it). May be they work better than the driver on the linux-based media.
