Issue with restoration from DVD

Thread needs solution

Hello.

I have an issue when I try to recover a partition from a DVD.

I created the backup DVD using Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 (build 11.0.17318), burning the image directly to DVD. The backup using the liveCD went well, no error messages were reported.

But when I try to restore the image taken using the liveCD, it won't. I can find the TIB file to restore in the DVD drive, but when I click on it, Acronis says it is unable to read contents.

However, when I copy the file to a PC, I can explore the file properly, extract individual files, and the like.
When I copy the TIB file to a USB stick, I can restore the Windows correctly, so I figure that the file is not corrupt.

But restoring from the DVD is not possible.
I tried copying the file to my PC, then burning it onto another DVD, and tried to restore from there, but it gave the same error message when I tried to open the backup from the live CD.

I didn't find anything like this behaviour, and have run out of ideas to try.

Can anyone help me to figure how to resolve this issue ?
Do I need to download a more recent build of Acronis ?

Thanks in advance.
Stéphane.
