Manual running of all tasks under a backup plan.

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have a very simple question which I have been struggling with over the last few days and have yet to find an answer.
I'm keep thinking I must have missed something really obvious, but can't see what.

I am new to ABR10 and trialing it for a week.
I have set up a few backup plans which have have 10 tasks in each plan.
I have scheduled the tasks to run at the appropriate times and this all works as expected.

My question is how do I manually run the backup plan and all tasks contained within it?
If I highlight the backup plan , right client and select "Run", this then asks which task I would like to run.
It won't seem to let me highlight *all* tasks under a backup plan and run them one-by-one. Instead I need to run the first task, then the second task, etc... Or else I have to add a new schedule to run in 1 minute and let it kick off automatically.

Have I missed something really obvious here?

Thanks,

Paul.

 Hello Paul!

Welcome to our Forum and thank you for finding time to join us! I understand your concern and will do my best to shed the light to the situation.

In case you have a scheduled backup plan with the several tasks set, these tasks will be executed one by one due to the style of working of Scheduler. Thus when you start the plan, all tasks are immediately added to the queue depending on the settings specified.

Please note that due to the Scheduler llimitations you cannot start 2 tasks simultaneously. So should you have task A running, task B will be queued till the first task is finished.

Hopefully this answers your question, but should I miss something or in case there's still some details confusing you - please, let me know, I will be glad to clarify and give you the detailed answer.

Thank you!
