Hi everyone,

I've been trying to install Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Advanced Server to our Windows 2003 SP2 server and I'm getting the same Windows Installer Error.

Per Acronis kb article, I'm running

msiexec c:\AcronisAgentWindows.msi /l*v log.txt

Can't attach the file for some reason (getting error 0) so I'm pasting it here.

This is a production server so I can't reboot without a CR.

Are you aware that your company name is listed in the log file?

You haven't actually said what error message you get.

I think it has found a previous install left in registry, but I'm not absolutely sure.

I assume you have all the correct permissions as far as Windows is concerned for installing the software?

the issue is related to the Windows Installer corruption, the MSI log error points on it: 

MSI (c) (70:90) [13:15:14:500]: Product: Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Agent -- Error 1719. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance. 

In order to resolve the issue please either contact MS support for assistance or check this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 315346.
