Need Product Advice: Looking to backup external hard drives to a local server

I know most people want to back up their data from the C: drive to an external device but I need to do the opposite. I need to image HDDs that are in external enclosures and store them on a folder on our server (or any workstation for that matter).

Application: we have older NT machines and a DOS machine used for production. No USB ports, no disk drives, no internet connection. But we need to image them for disaster recovery. I was thinking I take out the hard drive, put it in an enclosure, plug it into a USB port on a machine with Acronis installed and just image the drive that way. Then if one of the production machines ever fails, we buy a new HDD, put it in the enclosure, restore the image and pop it in the older production machine.

My questions are: A. is this possible? B. If so, which product should I use?

A) Yes., if the enclosure is detected as 'fixed' disk, so B) Backup & Recovery Workstation, but get the trial first to make sure about 'fixed' disk.
