Please Help Me With My Restoration Woes :'(
Hi,
I am using the most recent Acronis True Image Bootable Media to recover all partitions of my old Vista boot HDD to a new larger HDD.
The problem is after selecting Recover Whole Disks And Partitions I get the choices:
Disk 2
NTFS (Unlabeled C:) 247.1GB
NTFS (Unlabeled D:) 41GB
MBR and Track 0
NTFS (RECOVERY) 10GB
I am moving from a 300GB HDD to a 500GB HDD and i need to make C: larger 435GB, D: smaller 10GB and straight copy MBR and track 0, and NTFS (RECOVERY).
Sadly I can select ANY three partitions and change their sizes but as soon as i select that fourth part the checkbox next to "Disk 2" ticks itself and all my "settings" resizing info disappears and is replaced by "Destination Of Disk 2."
Then looking at the final summary all partitions have decided to revert to making them selves larger to fill up the new drive in a proportional fashion to their original sizes :(
I have thought about leaving one of the partitions out or just letting Acronis do what it wants and then riskily resize the partitions afterwards in Vista disk management or Partition Magic - but i must be missing something obvious. Please Help.
