Problems with Wake-on-LAN

Thread needs solution

Hello All,

I have problems with program Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Workstation (last build 11105).

I try to create backup policy to backup mashines with use Wake-On-Lan. But Acronis dont wake the computers!

If I use program WakeOnLan from SolarWinds company I can wake the computers - this program work fine, and our computers can be woked up from this program. Acronis do not wake the computers. I checked BIOS settings and settings into NIC card, but acronis dont work fine. Backup Policy is correctly deployed to PC- here is not a problem.

Could you know, Where may by a problem? Thank you for your reply

I don't know how, but some computers are woked up... but now, I have a larger problem - after waking the computer the scheduled task does not run. Planed task runs only until manually log into the system.

Credentials for task is set as 'Use Acronis service credentials' (see image bellow).

Could you know: how I can set the planed task? Thank you for help!

I am having the same problem. I have two computers in an group with a policy with Wake-on-lan. Noone of the computers did wake up til now. Could someone help?

Hello all,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]

This issue is well-known and already fixed by our developers. The fix will be available in the next released build.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, set the Distribute the start time within the time window to a short maximum delay (e.g. 3 minutes):

  • Click Backup scheme -> Custom;
  • Click Change;
  • In the Advanced settings section click Change;
  • Check both Use Wake-on-LAN and Distribute the start time within the time window:

The task should then start successfully.

Thank you.
