Recovery to new computer

I have version 11 and made a full backup to my external hard drive. Question--Can I recover to a new computer. I have a rescue disc. My current computer is a Toshiba laptop 32 bit. My new computer would be a Toshiba laptop 64 bit.

Welcome to the forums!

One thing to check into is if you have the universal restore options with your ABR11 products as this will be required during the recover if going to different hardware/system.

With the recovery it should not be an issue but keep in mind you will be left with a 32bit system and not a 64bit system as Acronis can only restore what was backed up... In your case if this is a a copy of Windows 7 32bit (for example)... your new notebook will also end up having Windows 7 32bit..

As far as I know, it is not possible to change/switch from a Windows 32bit install into a 64bit install without having to re-install Windows (but best you double check into this).
