Recovery Windows and its MBR

Thread needs solution

Hi, I've a problem with Acronis Backup & Recovery and the Windows bootloader: I'll try to explain exactly what I did step by step and I hope for a solution.

This is the initial situation: I've a PC with 2 partitions: one (lets call it "1") with Windows XP Pro SP3 and Acronis B&R, the other one ("2") is empty.

1) In the empty partition "2" I installed a copy of Windows 7.
2) At the end of the installation, I rebooted and from Windows XP with Acronis B&R (partition "1") I created the backup of Windows 7 partition ("2").
3) Then I formatted Windows 7 and I installed in partition "2" a copy of Windows XP.
4) At the end of the installation, I rebooted and from Windows XP with Acronis B&R (partition "1") I've created the backup of the new Windows XP installation on partition "2".
5) At this point with Windows XP of partition "1" I restored the *.tib previously created with Windows 7 on partition "2" with its MBR.

Result: I can't start Windows 7 because of the MBR. It seems that Acronis B&R doesn't properly restore the MBR and, in this case, it left the Windows XP one.

What can I do?
Thanks in advance
