Reinstalling Acronis on Exchange - Error installing Agent

Thread needs solution

Hello,

i am reinstalling Acronis Backup an Recovery Agent on our Exchange, but there comes always the following error in the Log. It seems that not everything is uninstalled. It was unistalled over "Software"!

Is there a tool for uninstalling Acronis complete or do you have any other ideas?

I have searched our tools and found out that you have already submitted support case and even provided us with the *.msi log - thank you very much! We really appreciate your cooperation!

I have carefully checked the information attached and found the following error: 

1: MSIGEN:MsiVSSInstall: Registered VSS provider (C:\PROGRA~2\COMMON~1\Acronis\SnapAPI\snapapivss.dll), error 1
MSI (s) (F0:94) [16:10:21:884]: User policy value 'DisableRollback' is 0

Aktion beendet um 16:10:21: InstallFinalize. Rückgabewert 3.

This error point on the disabled service, required for the installation. I assume you have German Windows, so I would appreciate if you could kindly check whether the following services are started (you can find them by pressing "Win+R" keys and entering the following command "Services.msc"): 

  • COM+-Systemanwendung
  • COM+-Ereignissystem
  • Distributed Transaction Coordinator
  • VSS

(Should you have English Windows installed, please check: Volume Shadow Copy, COM+ System Application, Distributed Transaction Coordinator, COM + Event System).

This should resolve the issue faced.
