Unable to change Virtual Machine Settings

Thread needs solution

Using ABR 10 build #11639.

Attempting to restore backup to New Virtual Machine, specifically VMWare (a necessary step to convert to Xenserver, since XEN Server restores only work up to 127GB due to VHD limitations). I can see all the default virtual machine settings, but I cannot change any of the settings - machine name, memory, or most importantly, storage - as the C:\ drive doesn't have enough space to handle the 870GB of data being restored.

Is there an option I'm missing, or something I'm just not seeing? There's no change option on that field at all.

Hello MIS Consulting,

Thank you for your post. I will do my best to assist you.

Can you please check the two screenshots attached to my post, I would like to clarify which option you are having difficulty reaching.

Screenshot #1 - From the Recovery data menu, the change button is unavailable.

Screenshot #2 - From the Virtual Machine Settings menu the options are grayed out. You access this menu by pressing the Change button highlighted in screenshot #1.

Please let me know, is the Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Management Console in full screen mode? There may be an issue with that, if it is in compact mode, the Change button can become unavailable.

Let me know if you have additional questions please.

Thank you.

Ah ha! I was not running Acronis in maximized full screen mode - once that was changed the "Change" button became available. Thanks!
