User logging out cancels backup

Thread needs solution

Hello All.
I have experienced a problem with ABR 11.0.17437 on a couple of windows xp machines where if a backup is started and the currently logged in user logs out, the backup silently fails. It does not send an email as it is supposed to, and only by looking at the logs on the AMS do i see "activity cancelled" at the time of logout. This happens on both a full disk backup and on a file level backup. The backup plans run under a (domain) admin user that shouldn't be affected by another user logging in or out. Any similar experiences out there or ideas?

Is the backup started manually by logged in user or by schedule? Where is the backup destination?

It can be started manually (as a centralized backup) or start by schedule. Either way it will fail. all Acronis related tasks are done with a separate user that only logs on to a machine as a service.

Backup destination is a network share that several other machines successfully back up to.

I'd try to run a test backup to local disk to check if it is related to share as the destination. And/or run a process monitor during backup with logoff to see if any file requests to the share fail during logoff. Default number of re-attempts in backup options (30) should be enough to eliminate it as probable cause.
