Validation of previous generation archive
Running ABR Advanced Upgrade Build #11105.
I have a number of tib archives created with TI Echo Workstation Build #8353. When Build #8353 validates a large - 6 GB - archive it takes several minutes to accomplish.
When ABR Build #11105 validates the same 6 GB archive it takes only a few seconds to report successful validation.
I suspect ABR Build #11105 is not actually examining the archive.
What's going on? How to ensure the archive is thoroughly examined?

Hi Harry:
I have the same issue. Are you choosing the option to validate the "archive?" I could get it to do a full validation when I chose to validate the "vault" instead of archive.

Oleg,
I tried Matthew F.'s suggestion to validate in Windows 7 "vault" rather than "archive" or "backup". ABR10 build 11105 appears to validate all the tib files in a specified "vault" folder on the local machine, taking several minutes to complete. Choosing "archive" or "backup" validation of the same tib files completes in just a few seconds. This behavior is repeatable.
I've yet to try this using an ABR10 bootable CD. I'll report back when I do.
