Backup vmdk disk on NFS

My scennario:
I have a Windows server on ESXi 5 created on local server datastore
I have created a datastore on a NFS on a NAS
I have added a harddisk created on the NFS datasotore attached to the Windows Server

I would like to have the availability to backup that harddisk in a separated file, so if for some reason the NAS breaks, i would like to create a new datastore somewhere else and resotre the disk.

Its a little hard to understand what you are asking.

If you are asking if you can create a seperate Backup to include only the Virtual Disk that you have linked to the Windows Server, then no. that woudn't be possibe from what I can determine. Acronis would see that Virtual Disk as part of the Virtual Machine. vmProtect can't backup individual Disks. Apologies if I am misunderstanding.

Note: You should be backing up your NAS (assuming this is the sole location of a store)
