How to connect to iSCSI Datastore with vmProtect 8 VM?

Thread needs solution

So, according to the literature, vmProtect will work with iSCSI Datastores. It references them three places in the User Guide.
KB 40039 references iSCSI as a valid backup destination.

However, no where can I find any instructions on connecting to an iSCSI datastore from the VM.
How do you connect the VM to an iSCSO datastore?
I would welcome a link to a KB article if I have missed one.

Hi Martin,

The iSCSI datastores can be used in various ways with vmProtect, e.g.: backup of VMs which reside on iSCSI datastore, store backups on virtual drive created on iSCSI datastore (this virtual drive is attached to vmProtect appliance and can be used as backup storage, see http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/AVMP8/index.html#17287.html for instructions), run VM from backup, storing changes on iSCSI, etc. It's not completely clear which exact goal you are trying to achive. May be above info will give you some insights, but if not, then please clarify what setup you are trying to accomplish?

Thank you.

Thank you Vasily. I guess I wasn't thinking about it in the correct, but that makes sense now.

I wasn't thinking of the iSCSI connection as being done by ESX, rather than by the VM itself. But having ESX handle it probably makes more sense.
