Sending alerts through Exchange 2013

Thread needs solution

I have installed Acronis Backup for VMWare and it is working fine except for sending email alerts to my company which monitors the backups for this company. The error I get is 0x014F0015 The server cannot accept DATA command. I have created a Host entry and it still fails. I have other externally alerts flowing through the Exchange receive connector but I cannot get the Acronis alert to work.

Can anyone help? I have Googled this and cannot find any ideas.

Thanks.

Hi Deanna,

I assume that you have checked the http://kb.acronis.com/content/33791 article which describes the symptom and possible solution for it, but it still didn't help correct? Likely there is a misconfiguration in the receive connector where the Acronis Backup for VMware IP is not added to the white list. You can check the following article: http://www.shudnow.net/2013/06/04/how-anonymous-relay-works-in-exchange… which describes how to set up Exchange for accepting the e-mails from the hosts in local network using anonymous (empty password) access. Likely setting a connector in this way would do the trick.

Thank you.
