Hi,

Simple question. Does the virtual edition needs a separated (own) OS (like a windows OS) to operate on or does the installation contains it's own OS? So, when I run some virtual machines on a single fiscal server, do I need to purchase a extra OS license just to run Acronis on it? (separated from the other virtual machines)

You will need a separate Windows OS at least for management Console and License Server. Other components like Management Server and Storage Node requires Windows OS too, but are required not for all configurations.
