Task name AECP failed

Thread needs solution

I was checking the statistics on my backup jobs which have been pretty smooth lately. I noticed on the graph on the main page it indicated a failure today at 11:00. I clicked on it and it took me to the logs showing task name AECP. I don't have any task named AECP so I'm surprised it showed up in the dashboard as a failed job.

Hello KJSTech,

Thank you for your post!

During the installation of Acronis vmProtect as Windows Agent or Virtual Appliance you can activate the option Acronis Customer Experience Program (ACEP). This option defines whether the machine will participate in the Acronis Customer Experience Program. ACEP task send information about the hardware configuration, about any problems to Acronis server. The task can fail if there is no connection with serve. ACEP does not effect to creation of backup. For more information about this error message please take a look this article.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.

Thank you!

I had the same messages at around the same time, seems like there was a connection problem at the server end as our Internet connection was fine

Hi Elena,

Would it be possible to either remove this "failed" message or somehow otherwise hide it? I would guess that most people do not care if the AECP task has a problem. It seems to cause unecessary concern and confusion.
