VM Backup is very slow

Hello,

I want to backup 2 VMs with vmprotect. The Target Storage is a
Netgear ready Nas rv+ with 4x 1TB Raid-X. Everything works
fine, but the backupspeed is horrible. Around 10-20Mbps but
everything is connected through a gigabit network.

I deactivated compression and deduplication, because I
thought it could increase the backupspeed. The speed of a normal
filetransfer is around 400Mbps.

Can anybody help me.

I had the same problem running under Windows but the speed increased almost x10 when I installed it as a appliance under vmware, backing up to the same location. It is still very slow though. Full backup takes more than 50% longer than our prior backup software.

Readynas NV+ cannot write faster then 20MB/s

Just GO with a readynas Ultra 4 of Pro 4 which has speeds of 70-90MB/s
