What do I need?

Thread needs solution

I have 2 hosts, running ESXi vSphere 5.5, each one is running 3 VMs.

I want to back up both hosts, so that I can do a BMR if any of the physical servers catastrophically fail, or if the building burns down.

Does each licence of Acronis Backup for VMware allow me to back up ALL VMs installed in a host machine?
If I have 2 hosts, do I need to purchase 2 licences, and can they be managed together in a single console?

Hi,

Acronis Backup for VMware (former vmProtect 9) is licensed on per-CPU basis regardless of number of VMs on the ESXi host. In your case you should find out the total amount of CPU sockets on your hosts and purchase corresponding amount of licenses. Please see more details in the following KB articles:

Thank you.
