Multiple Backup plans in one backup file?
Hi everybody,
I want to create multiple backup plans of a volume (type Files/Folders) with different runtimes:
- Mountpoint /mnt/data
=> Weekly full/daily incremental, start at 04:00am
Within this mountpoint there are two locations (/mnt/data/productiondata/files and /mnt/data/productiondata/compressedfiles) which I want to backup at 13pm and 20pm additionally, always incremental.
To reduce data redundancy I linked all backup plans to the same Backup-File (tibx). I want to make sure, that all backup plans are using the same data deduplication.
Is that officially supported or do I have to create a new Backup-File for each plan?

Hi Jose,
thanks for the response.
The subfolders /mnt/data/productiondata/files and /mnt/data/productiondata/compressedfiles are already included in the main backup plan which backups the whole /mnt/data mount.
I want to make sure, that the both mentioned subfolders above are additionally backed up 2 times a day. But only those subfolders and not everything else what is included in /mnt/data/* (here are 10 folders more stored).
That is the reason why I created an additional backup plan and chose the backup file of the main backup plan in the advanced options
