Storage Node Log file (tape logs) is taking up lot of space

Thread needs solution

Hello,

When running the backup whose destination is tapes, The drive where Acronis is installed is running out of space because of the log file named tape.1.log present in "*\ProgramData\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\ASN\logs". The tape.1.log file is taking up around 150GB - 250 GB varies according to backup size.

Is there any solution for this so that it does not occupy so much of space?

Product Version - Acronis Cyber Protect 15

Dear Dilip,
It is not exact the answer to your question but you can try to implement a solution for a similar sort of problem presented in the article:
Acronis Cyber Protect, Acronis Cyber Backup: How to change log rotation settings | Knowledge Base
Replace “alerts” with “tape” and to find an analogue for mms.config for your case.

We need to find out the exact cause of this abnormal increase in logs, and this requires an investigation with the help of our support team, so please contact us: Customer Service and Support (acronis.com)

As a workaround mapped the Acronis log folder to an external drive. Will try the solution from the article if it keeps increasing again and later contact the support team if needed.

Thanks.
