Acronis Not Finding Restore Points
Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all well. I am having some issues when trying to restore from an Acronis backup. Some background info:
The setup consists of a Dell Poweredge T320 running Windows Server 2012 R2. This server was the host to a few HYPER-V servers (SQL Server, AD, file server, etc). I was using Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 Advanced Virtual Host to backup this server. I was creating backups of both the host itself and the individual hyper-v's. These backups were being stored onsite via the Synology NAS box. This NAS box was then writing to AWS Glacier for off-site cold storage of said backups.
We were hit with the lockbit ransomware and the attacker was able to gain access to the NAS box and do a factory format of it. This led to us losing all of the backups that were stored on the Synology NAS box. We were able to restore all of the files from said backup using the Glacier restore tool available on Synology. Now that the backups were restored, I installed another station as the management server and tried restoring the infected server with the backups.
When I point Acronis to the network location where the backups are stored, it is recognizing the .tibx file but showing that there are no restore points available. This is peculiar as in the past, it had always shown the dates of the incremental backups and allowed me to restore to a specific date. I am wondering if there is a workaround to this and how exactly can I restore from the restored .tibx file? Please advise as this is causing the full system to be down in a critical environment.
Thanks in advance!
