Unable to backup a VM using latest ACB 12.5

Thread needs solution

We have just upgraded to the latest version of ACB and are having some issue when trying to backup our VM's

I have created several network shares on a NAS device and other backups that are using windows agents work successfully to these shares.

I have ESX Virtual Appliances running on each of my ESXi hosts and i can see all my running VM's however when i attempt to create a plan and run that plan to the NAS device share - get a message to say that the 'Vault is Unavailable' and 'Failed to resolve the hostname'

See attached output from activity log of failed backup.

I can ping the VM from the NAS Server using both IP and Hostname and i can also ping the NAS server from the VM again using the IP and Hostname, so i'm not entirely sure 'what' cannot resolve the hostname?

This was working fine before we upgraded to the latest version of ACB 12.5

Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

Hello Duncan,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

Please follow instructions for solving this issue at the respective KB article: https://kb.acronis.com/content/63558

Since you use Acronis Virtual Appliance, please open it, press CTRL-ALT-F2 and issue vi/etc/hosts for editing DNS settings of Virtual Appliance.
