Drive Exclusion not working
Not sure if this is proper forum as we're on Cyber Protect Cloud v23.09.
Backing up a server where we do not need an entire drive backed up (1 TB plus), I followed advice on this thread:
https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-backup-125/exlude-entire-drive-…
So in my case, I have E:\*
I have also tried the entire path incl. the file itself.
I have also specific entries in the INCLUDE fields as well:
C:\*
D:\*
Maybe things have changed since 12.5 but none of the above are making Acronis skip the E drive on that server.
Any thoughts?

Hello Jose,
That's a bummer. Thanks 4 your feedback.

But the other syntax I had put in was:
E:\iSCSI_VHD\****.vhdx
That vhd file is the only one in that folder and the only one we're really concerned about skipping. Shouldn't the above string make it skip that file?

If you type the entire path that virtual disk should be skipped. As mentioned above when you create an entire machine backup there's no chance to remove certain disks, only specific files/folders applying the filters.

Weekend Full ran and it is not skipping that desired .vhdx file. I bomarded the exlusion list on Friday morning and even rebooted that server. Here are all the entries in the list prior to the reboot and subsequen Full on Friday night:
E:\*
E:\*\*.*
*.vhdx
E:\VM01.vhdx
E:\*.vhdx
\\Data_ST\VM01.vhdx
\\Data_ST\*.vhdx
\\Data_ST\iSCSI_VHD\VM01.vhdx
\\Data_ST\iSCSI_VHD\*.vhdx
Data_ST\VM01.vhdx
Data_ST\*.vhdx
Data_ST\iSCSI_VHD\VM01.vhdx
Data_ST\iSCSI_VHD\*.vhdx
What am I missing here?

Hello! Did you tried to introduce the full path of the virtual disk?
File filters are not effective when applied to dynamic disks (LVM or LDM volumes) of a virtual machine that is backed up by Agent for VMware, Agent for Hyper-V, or Agent for Scale Computing in the agentless mode.

If the issue persists I would advise you to recreate the plan or to contact support for investigation: https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153
Thanks!
