ACPHO "Backing up... 6.59 GB"

Thread needs solution

What is the status during backup supposed to show. It's clearly neither the amount of data written to the backup file nor the amount of data scanned so far in the backup. I have 1500 GB of data on my drives and the backup has been running for 12 hours!

In fact, I started writing this post 15 minutes ago and the the "6.59 GB" has not changed!

The last 3 backups have failed for some unknown reason at 3AM.

Hello John!

Welcome to the forum.

We would need more details about the error, as the same error is probably causing that behavior.

Ensure that you have sufficient storage space available for the backup and that your system is not being overwhelmed by other processes, which could slow down the backup. Also, check if there are any errors in the destination. If it is a NAS, check the connections.

Run a CHKDSK: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/chkdsk

Run the disk report: https://kb.acronis.com/content/1638 (If the output displays the letter "E," it means there are errors, and you should fix them or replace the drive).

Check for Errors: Review the backup log or error messages for any issues or errors that might be causing the backup to stall.

Update the agent to the latest build if this hasn't been performed yet, or consider reinstalling the program.

Thanks in advance!
