Backup Now

Thread solved

OK, I backed up my computer before the main drive crashed.  I installed a new main drive and recovered most of my data (just missed 2 days of data between the last backup and the crash, not a big deal).  The entire disk was backed up.  I ran down to Costco and bought a new backup drive (I keep the old one for grins).  The new backup drive is installed.  So I enter Acronis and hit the "backup now" key.  A message says "Queued" with a blank progress bar.  And there it sits.  I can't get the "backup now" started.  The schedule is set for a backup to start this coming Sunday, 12/25.

Can one of you fine people tell me how to get the "backup now" started?  I won't feel comfortable until I can see a backup running.  Obviously, I am a "true believer" in backing up the entire computer.

Paul, if you have just connected the new storage drive without reselecting the Destination for your backup task, then that is probably the reason for the task being queued / waiting for the original drive to be connected!

Once you are in that queued state, then you may need to restart Windows to clear it, and possibly also use the Acronis Scheduler Manager tool (link below) to clear the phantom queued task by using the task zap command in that tool.  (That will remove all scheduled tasks, so you would need to re-set the schedules for your tasks).
