Cloning existing windows system with file and installed programs from a pc to another

Tutorial

Hello everyone! I bought 5 computers with windows os and I own acronis true image 2021. I need to install the same programs to each computer i bought. I installed everything i need in one computer and to save time, I would like to create a full system image and copy it to the other pc's so I don't have to repeat all the installation for each computer. What is the process I need to accomplish with acronis to do this? I thought i could create a usb flash drive with the iso pf the system and make it bootable but when i try to create the iso with Acronis with "rescue Media Builder" the iso it creates it's very lightweight, approximately 1 GB and when i burn it in the usb and boot it in a new oc, it seems not found any system to recovery.

Hello!

Could you please provide us with more details? What operating system do those machines have? To clone or recover an OS, the machine must have the same OS as the original clone. What types of disks are used? Cloning and disk/partition recovery to a disk with different logical sector size is not supported.

Please carefully review the following KB articles and check the prerequisites and apply the suggestions:

In this situation, I would suggest performing a full backup of the original OS, creating a WinPE bootable media (https://kb.acronis.com/content/69427), and using the Universal Restore (https://kb.acronis.com/ati2021/aur) during the recovery on the new machines. This approach is more effective for this case instead of cloning.

Best regards.

Carla,

As Jose says for a clone to work as intended the source and the target computers need to be identical in hardware and OS or at least very close.

Your post reads like you bought 5 identical PC's and wish to make all of them the same.  Understandable and if that is the case please review the KB Article Here for information on how to accomplish that using the Clone Tool.

Tp avoid issues later, you should activate windows on each of the computers before doing the "clone" operation. Depending on how the licensing works with the installed applications, it may be easier if you activate them after doing the clone rather than before.
